Brussels - The latest round of Russia-EU-Ukraine expert consultations studying possible negative implications of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement for the Russian economy and Russia-Ukraine trade was held in Brussels on Monday, Sept. 1.

The EU Delegation to Russia reported the experts looked into the issues of sanitary and phytosanitary control, technical regulations, customs cooperation, energy and the access of Russian goods to the Ukrainian market and vise versa.

The Russian delegation to the round was led by Deputy Economic Development Minister Alexei Likhachev and comprised officials from interested ministries and departments, the report said.

The consultations were a stage in the preparations for the trilateral ministerial meeting of Russia, the European Union and Ukraine due on Sept. 12, 2014.
