Donetsk - Several dozen trucks from Russia's fourth humanitarian aid convoy have arrived in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, and will be unloaded at a warehouse in the city's Budionivsky district, an correspondent has reported.

“We are expecting a total of 50 trucks, which will deliver construction materials and food, as well as cargo intended for the Education Ministry,” an official responsible for receiving the convoy said.

Volunteers will soon start to unload the trucks. It still remains unknown when the vehicles will begin their return journey to Russia.

The situation remained tense in Donetsk last night, with the local administration reporting fresh strikes against the city’s northern districts.

“Residential houses and other buildings, located at 18 Dvinska Street, 19 Bilozerska Street and 31 Urhalska Street, have been damaged as a result of artillery strikes in the Kuibyshevsky and Petrovsky districts over the past 24 hours. One civilian was killed and another sustained a shrapnel wound as a result of fighting in Donetsk on Oct. 30,” the city authorities said.

The situation in Donetsk on Oct. 31 morning is quiet.

However, 2,605 households remain without gas.

All local services and public transport are operating as usual.
