A number of former ships of the Navy will be transferred from Crimea to the Ukrainian side no earlier than on May 17, a source in the Russian Black Sea Fleet Staff told Interfax-AVN on May 12.

“Information about the transfer of some more ships to the Ukrainian side effective today is wrong,” the source said, referring to media claims that the transfer of ships from Crimea to Ukraine would continue on May 12-13.

The sides have decided to transfer the former Ukrainian ships before May 17 due to outstanding questions in the relations with Crimean ship repairing plants, he noted.

Consistent with the plan for the transfer of military and support ships, the Slavutych command ship, the Lutsk and Ternopil corvettes and the Prydniprovia missile carrying corvette will depart from Crimean bays.
