You're reading: Russian Central Bank terminates activities of another two Ukrainian bank branches in Crimea

Moscow - Russia's Central Bank has terminated the activities of the isolated structural divisions of two Ukrainian banks, PJSC Unex Bank and PJSC Legbank, in Crimea and Sevastopol starting Sep. 16, according to a Central Bank statement.

“In accordance with Article 7 of Federal Law No. 39-FZ, the Bank of Russia notified the autonomous non-profit organization Depositor Protection Fund about the grounds to acquire by the latter the rights (claims) on deposits placed with structural divisions of the aforementioned banks,” Central Bank said.

As reported, Central Bank terminated the activities of a number of Ukrainian bank branches in Crimea in April, May, June and July.
