You're reading: Russian, German, French, Ukrainian leaders to meet in Paris on Oct. 2

Moscow - Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will have agreed to meet in Paris on Oct. 2 in a telephone conversation on Wednesday night, the Russian presidential press service reported.

“It was agreed to continue active work in the ‘Normandy format’, which includes the holding of negotiations at the level of foreign ministers in Berlin on Sept. 12, as well as a personal meeting of the leaders of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine in Paris on Oct. 2,” the press service said in a statement.

The parties also discussed the settlement of the crisis in southeastern Ukraine given the results of meetings of the Trilateral Contact Group for Ukraine and its working groups in Minsk on Sept. 8, it said.
