Five hundred refugees from Ukraine, including 111 children, are receiving treatment at Moscow hospitals, the head of the Moscow Health Department said on Aug. 20th.

Moreover, 477 Ukrainian refugees, among them 340 children, are receiving outpatient treatment in the Russian capital, Georgy Golukhov told Interfax.

Ukrainian refugees are receiving non-urgent care free of charge as long as they show an identification document such as a passport or military card and a refugee certificate, Golukhov said.

“Medical assistance to patients with chronic or incurable diseases is based on an application for assistance and a detailed statement from a medical organization certifying the need for such assistance”, he said.

“Emergency medical assistance is provided free of charge at the city’s expense in order to eliminate threats to the life of patients or to the health of those around them”, Golukhov said.
