MOSCOW, August 8 – Members of the Ukrainian UNA-UNSO organization, fighting for the Chechen side, are the most dangerous, Mikhail Vanechkin, Head of the Organized Crime Fighting Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday, Uatoday reported.

According to Vanechkin, due to their Slavic appearance and fluent Russian the mercenaries can easily pass as Russians. He also said that in some cases mercenaries use Russian military dress, which allows them pass by block-posts with relatively little trouble.

Vanechkin also alleged that the Ukrainians generally received training at special mercenaries camps and that most have higher education in engineering, which allows them to work with explosives.

According to BBC report, Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry has commenced a special operation to prevent the inflows of mercenaries fighting for Chechen rebels.

The Ukrainian television Novii Kanal pointed out that no documentary evidence has been provided to confirm the participation of Ukrainians in the Chechnya conflict.
