During a visit to Ukraine’s Bukovyna region on Oct. 2, the head of Russia’s Orthodox Church opened a new monastery, prayed for President Viktor Yanukovych and presented special honors to two of Ukraine’s most influential yet controversial individuals: Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko and billionaire Dmytro Firtash. Thousands of worshipers are reported to have attended Patriarch Kirill’s opening of Trinity Cathedral near Chernitvsi, a large city in western Ukraine.

According to a report by Russia’s Interfax news agency, Patriarch Kirill held a prayer for Yanukovych.

"We are today praying for Ukraine's president, so that God gives him spiritual and physical health, wisdom, courage and all that is necessary to carry the great burden and responsibility for establishment of the Ukrainian state, increasing spirituality and living conditions for its people," Interfax quoted Patriarch Kirill as saying.

An increasingly regular visitor to Ukraine since Yanukovych became president in 2010, the Russian Orthodox Church leader also issued church honors to Firtash and Boyko -- apparently as thanks for their support of church activities. While the Russian Orthodox Church has a large following in Ukraine, it is also seen by many Ukrainians as an instrument of Kremlin interests.

According to documents and sources, both Boyko and Firtash are close associates.

Firtash, who kick-started his business career while living in Chernivtsi region in the 1990s, has in prior years been a partner of Russian energy giant Gazprom in the multi-billion-dollar business of supplying Ukraine with natural gas. Firtash and Gazprom co-own Swiss-registered RosUkrEnergo, which controlled the supply of gas to Ukraine from 2004 until Yulia Tymoshenko -- as prime minister in 2009 -- cut out the middlemen trader as part of an agreement with her Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. Tymoshenko is currently facing up to 10 years behind bars if found guilty by a Kyiv court of exceeding authority while brokering that agreement. Ukrainian prosecutors say the agreement introduced gas import prices that are ruinous for Ukraine's economy.

Boyko served as Ukraine’s Energy Minister when RosUkrEnergo was first brought in to a dominant role in energy relations between Ukraine and Russia.

According to sources and documents, the authenticity of which Boyko has neither confirmed nor denied despite inquiries from journalists, he held power-of-attorney over Firtash’s assets and represented him in a divorce.

As prime minister from 2007 through 2010 and now as Ukraine's opposition leaders, Tymoshenko has repeatedly questioned the transparency of RosUkrEnergo's role. She claims that Boyko and other top Ukrainian officials in the inner circle of Ukraine’s current political leadership, including President Viktor Yanukovych himself, are shadow benefactors of RosUkrEnergo. Such allegations are denied by Boyko and other top officials, including Yanukovych.

Як створити образ ворога? Україна в російських підручниках

#24. Голодомор 1933 року"не був геноцидом" українського народу, бо:

- голод відбувся внаслідок посухи;

- голод був Божою карою для українців за участь у атеїстичних кампаніях влади.

How do I create an image of the enemy? Ukraine in Russian textbooks :

#24. Holodomor of 1933 "was not a genocide," of the Ukrainian people, because:

- the famine was due to drought;

- the famine was God's punishment for Ukrainians participation in their atheistic government's campaigns.

PS KGB Kirill of the Moscow KGB "church", in union with the Kremlin, is teaching his "flock" that God murdered millions (1,000,000's) of Ukrainians because the Ukrainians were atheists.

In reality, the Kremlin murdered tens of thousands (10,000's) of Ukrainian priests, clergy, and their families in the 1920's, 1930's, 1940's.

In reality, the Kremlin closed or destroyed all of the Ukrainian Churches in the 1920's, 1930's, 1940's.

In reality, the Kremlin stole the Ukrainian Churchs' land and property.

In reality, the Kremlin gave the Moscow KGB "church" Ukrainian Churches' lands and property.

In reality, Moscow will not allow a single UKRAINIAN CHURCH registered in Russia - of any denomination.

NOT EVEN ONE UKRAINIAN CHURCH REGISTERED IN RUSSIA TODAY !

This person from Russia is NOT recognised as the head of the Ukrainian Church by the UGCC, the UOC-KP or the UAOC. Thats over 7O% of Ukrainian Christians.

So why is his every utterance worthy of repoting in this publicaton???

Most Ukrainians of Christian faith have no interest in anything he says.

I know that you were trying to be sarcastic, but truth is stranger than fiction.

In the Moscow KGB "church" they are praying to an icon with Stalin.

In the center of Moscow, two steps from the Kremlin, the church hangs an icon depicting the bloody tyrant Joseph Stalin.

Birds of mafia feather fly together - Kirill & Yanukovych et. al:

Patriarch Kiril as embodiment of spiritual degradation of Russia (Zik UA 7/24/11)

This is an abridged interview by Ukraine renowned writer, Volodymyr Danylenko, to Viktor Zahorujko about the crisis in the Russian Orthodox Church. The interview was published by UNIAN on July 21.

MOSCOW PATRIARCHATE IS A POWERFUL BUSINESS EMPIRE

The modern ROC is eroded by loose morals and money, Volodymyr Danylenko says. On his visits to Ukraine, ROC Patriarch Kiril is concerned more with mercantile considerations than saving the souls of believers.

Back in the days of ROC Patriarch Alexy II, Kiril (whose surname is Gundyayev) was incriminated in illegally smuggling Philip Morris cigarettes as humanitarian assistance.

The seller in the contract was Moscow’s patriarchy.

The scandal got wide coverage in Russia at the time.

Anyway, Gundyayev’s sister, Lidia Leonova, has some 300 tobacco kiosks. The Moscow patriarchate runs a spaghetti factory in Smolensk, the rich commercial Peresvet bank, and a spa water bottling plant. There is no evidence from 140 ROC bishops that the revenues were used to restore dilapidated churches and monasteries.

Gundyayev also is in a joint venture with ArtGemma diamonds polishing and trading company.

This is just a glimpse of Kiril’s business empire.

KGB ALIAS MIKHAILOV

In early 90s, a scandal erupted in Russia based on the KGB archives. It appeared that most of the ROC bishops were collaborating with KGB.

Then, mass media was rife with reports about Kiril’s involvement with the special service under the alias of Mikhailov.

Meanwhile, Kiril started to buy up the KGB archives related to the ROC top clergy. He used the archives to blackmail his rivals in the run-up to the election of the ROC patriarch. When Alexis II tried to bring him to heel, compromising stories about the then patriarch began to circulate in the media.

Meanwhile, Russia has been degrading as a nation and country. It tops the world for the number of convicts (one million), has 4 million hobos, 3 million beggars, 3 million street prostitutes, 1 million drug addicts. Each day, 10,000 abortions are made. About 80,000 murders happen annually. Russians drink 14 liters of alcohol per head of the population with the degradation threshold being 8 liters.

Kiril is expected to bend over backwards to save the souls of his compatriots.

Instead, he is driven to Ukraine - by greed and sickly imperial aspirations.

Patriarch Kirill and political orthodoxy

Jul 30, 2009 at 20:03

According to Zenon Wasyliw, Putin, Medvedev and Kirill are a powerful Russian troika engaged in joint political and religious manipulations.

Patriarch Kirill opposes “political orthodoxy,” yet the Russian Orthodox Church closely collaborates with Russian leaders Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev in spreading a Russian nationalist (some say proto-fascist) message in Russia and the “near abroad.”

Putin, Medvedev and Kirill, a powerful Russian troika, engage in joint political and religious commemorations of the White General Anton Denikin, supporting and echoing Denikin’s denigration of Ukrainians, the political canonization into sainthood of Tsar Nicholas II, his wife and five children, in support of a reactionary Russian imperial ideological foundation of Autocracy, Orthodoxy and Russian Nationality with its legacy of chauvinistic policies and pogroms.

Many other examples bring to question whether Patriarch Kirill’s visit is a political mission to re-engage a reactionary past of a revived vision of Russian imperial control over Ukraine.

The Russian Orthodox Church remains silent on many recent and current human rights abuses by the Russian state, such as the suspicious deaths of journalists critical of the government, the assault upon the human rights group Memorial, the censorship and political control of history, among many others.

The Russian troika should accept that Ukrainians have their own identities and values in a post-colonial and post-Soviet space. Good relations between Ukraine and Russia are important and should be based on mutual respect and equality, not spheres of influence through ecclesiastical control. Only a self-governing, autocephalous Ukrainian Orthodox Church can spiritually respond to Ukrainians’ unique and varied identities, developments and issues. The Russian Orthodox Church in Russia has its own issues and concerns it needs to attend.

Serge Schmemann, son of the famous Orthodox theologian, notes in the April 2009 National Geographic the catastrophically low level of monthly church attendance in Russia, estimated at 10 percent to less than 1 percent. Ukraine, on the other hand has a far higher level of belief and liturgical participation. Metropolitan Volodymyr has stated that over 70 percent of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church membership is found in the nationally conscious and linguistically Ukrainian European oriented western half of Ukraine, in contrast to the Eurasian orientation of Russian Orthodoxy.

An Autocephalous Ukrainian Orthodox Church, with its primate in Kyiv and not Moscow, will best serve the spiritual needs of its faithful and the realities of daily life. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church would then join world Orthodoxy as an equal to the Autocephalous Orthodox Churches of Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Georgia, Greece, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and the four ancient patriarchates of Constantinople, Alexandria, Antioch and Jerusalem. Autocephaly is not a myth reality.

Oh, look - the Ku Klux Klan wizard showed up in his satan robes, to "pray" for Yanukockroach - and Firtash, who is Jewish, and Boyko, who is a piece of dung.

I wonder - why no prayer for the Ukrainian people?

why only a prayer for 3 specific individuals?

Question - is there anyone who can look at the picture of the wizard shown in the above article, and show me at least one Christian thing about the picture?

Answer - there is absolutely NOTHING Christian about the Ku Klux Klan satan wizard Kirill shown in that picture.

Also - Translation:

"Give me money, Yanukockroach, Firtash and Boyko, or I will send satan after you."

By the way, Kyiv Post (mr. Bonner and Mr. Willard):

The power-of-attorney from Firtash to Boyko was DOCUMENTED a long time ago by Ukrainian Pravda.

And the divorce (in England, I believe) was where the question of dual citizenship came up.

elmer my bro, unless it is the identity thief...

Look at his right hand, it is in the form of IC XC Greek for Jesus Christ.

When the Holy Spirit is invoked it matters not if it is by a

pope, patriarch, bishop, priest, deacon, minister, wizard, you or even I

if there is legitimate supplication He will do His work through it.

Even a TV Evangelist doing it for money. God will overcome, even this.

First, I am not your "bro."

Second, his right hand is not in the form of anything, other than a relaxed right hand held up in the air.

And it's certainly not for Ісус Христос, of Jesu Christi, or anything even remotely close.

Ukrainian Orthodox and Ukrainian Catholic bishops and priests invoke the Holy Spirit with thumb and 2 fingers held together, for the Holy Trinity.

In Rasha, the Old Believers kept arguing for centuries that only 2 fingers was correct. But that's a different story.

The only thing KGB Klux Klan wizard Kirill is invoking is Putler and the Kremlin, and his $50,000 watch, and his 2 Cadillac Escalades.

And his is certainly not legitimate supplication - that's obvious.

If it were, he would not be praying to or for Yanukonvikt, or Boyko or Firtash.

He would be praying to God.

And his prayers would be for the people - not for a bunch of sovok mafiosi to have even more success robbing and pillaging Ukraine.
