You're reading: Russian troops burn bodies of their soldiers in special crematoria – SBU

To cover up the facts of Russian soldiers' participation in the military actions on the side of militants from the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People Republics, Russian servicemen burn the bodies of their fallen compatriots in mobile incinerators, Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Chief Valentyn Nalyvaichenko said on the air of Channel 5.

“From Jan. 20 until Jan. 23, 2014, seven mobile crematoria assembled on [the basis of] the understructure of ‘KAMAZ’ [trucks] were brought to the territories controlled by terrorist groups, in accordance with the order from the General Command of Russian Armed Forces,” SBU Chief said.

According to Nalyvaichenko, each of these “death furnaces” burns at least eight to ten bodies a day. This work is coordinated directly by Russian military intelligence officers.

“These ‘special KAMAZ trucks’ were noticed in Rostov region, near Ukraine’s state border at the end of 2014,” SBU Chief noted.

He also added: “a criminal mix of Russian special [forces] and local criminals, who for many years have been cooperating with former law enforces, are acting in Donbas.”

“The tactics of Russians is known – they put criminals on the frontline and then hide behind their backs. Russian experts recruit, teach to kill and blow up, change clothing, give weapons, orchestrate provocations and deploy criminal groups to peaceful towns,” Nalyvaichenko said.

The SBU chief also recalled that the complete database of terrorists with background information, photos and charges had already been created.
