You're reading: Russia’s humanitarian column spotted in Krasnodon of Luhansk region

Russia's humanitarian convoy was spotted on Friday afternoon in the town of Krasnodon of Luhansk region, according to the reports in social networks.

Some hesitation was seen in the movement of the trucks, eyewitnesses said.

“Twenty-three vehicles crossed and 17 followed after them, but about 10 [trucks] for some reason reversed and returned. All the cars turned round near our fire unit and went back, [as] it seems Novosvitlivka is again being shelled, an entry [to the town] is unsafe,” the eyewitnesses wrote.

They speculated that the column would make its way by another road – the by-pass to the north of Krasnodon.

As reported, a Russian aid convoy on Aug. 22 without Kyiv’s permission or the supervision of the ICRC, crossed the border into Ukraine.
