All of the military equipment that will be involved in maintaining safety during the Euro 2012 European Football Championship is ready to carry out tasks, Ukrainian Defense Minister Dmytro Salamatin has said.

"Salamatin noted that all of the military equipment that will be involved in maintaining safety during the Euro 2012 finals, is ready to perform its assigned tasks," the Defense Ministry’s press service reported on Thursday.

At a meeting of the ministry’s board on Wednesday, the minister outlined the main task for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in June, among other things, the monitoring the airspace during Euro 2012.

"The training of flight personnel will be checked in person and with no notice," the minister said.
