The Saur-Mohyla Barrow in the east of Donetsk region is under the control of Ukrainian troops, and a fierce battle is currently under way in the town of Yasynuvata near the city of Donetsk, spokesman for the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) information and analytical center Andriy Lysenko said.

“Saur-Mohyla and the height it is next to are now controlled by the
Ukrainian army,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday, adding that
the militants “are trying to fight it off, but all counterattacks in the
past 24 hours have been repelled.”

He also said that in Yasynuvata there is “a very fierce battle under way, [and] neither of the sides wants to back down.”
