You're reading: SBU arrests hacker that attacked Web sites of parties, Poltava City Council

Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Poltava region have stopped the illicit activities of a local resident, who attacked the Web sites of the leading political parties and disrupted the Web site of Poltava City Council via a DoS attack on it on September 4.

The press service of the of the SBU department in Poltava region told reporters that a hacker with the nickname “}{OTT@BY4” has been arrested by the SBU and is being interrogated. The issue on possible opening of a criminal case against him is being considered.

On September 4, at around 1700, the hacker }{OTT@BY4 disrupted the work of the Web site of Poltava City Council via a DoS attack, as a result of which the Web site went offline for some time.


On August 31, the hacker also tried to attack the Web site of the regional organization of the Regions Party.


The hacker also posted a video of his attempts to attack the Web sites on YouTube.
