Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) has started a pre-trial investigation within criminal proceedings on the fact of misappropriating the funds of PJSC Oschadbank (Kyiv) on a large scale.
“The Security Service in cooperation with the management of the financial institution has exposed the criminal mechanism of embezzling Hr 700 million of public funds by obtaining an obviously non-repayable loan secured by real estate,” the SBU press center said.
Investigative activities are underway.
The case is being investigated under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (misappropriation, embezzlement of property or seizure by malpractice).
