The Ukrainian citizens detained on suspicion of aiding the Russian special security services are actively cooperating with the investigation agencies, the Security Service of Ukraine has reported.

“The citizens who were arrested by the SBU and are now under
investigation are actively cooperating with the investigators – they say
they were recruited by the Russian special security services, and in
most cases they acknowledged their wrongdoing,” one of the chiefs of the
Security Service of Ukraine’s (SBU) counter-intelligence department,
Vitaliy Naida, said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.

“They say they acted in the interests of foreign intelligence [services],” Naida said.
