The employees of the operational department of the Specialized State Tax Service for servicing large taxpayers in Odesa, together with the officers of the interregional investigation department of the State Fiscal Service under the supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, conducted investigative-operational measures (searches) at Illichivsk seaport on July 30, 2015.
The press service of the Fiscal Service told Interfax-Ukraine that the search was conducted on the premises of Illichivsk maritime merchant port under Part 2 of Article 212 and Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion on a large scale and embezzlement of another’s property through abuse of office).
“During the search the central office staff found the documents that are of an important evidentiary value in the case. The State Fiscal Service encourages all to adhere to tolerance and not to oppose the legitimate demands of law enforcement authorities. At the moment, the search is over. Investigative actions are continuing,” the press service said.
