The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has taken a decision to bring back a regular military service, NSDC Deputy Secretary Mykhailo Koval reported.
“The council decided from the beginning of this autumn to restore conscription to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he said at a briefing after the NSDC meeting on Aug. 28.
Koval said that conscript for a regular term won’t be involved into the military tasks in the anti-terrorist operation’s zone.
