MOSCOW - Oleksandr Zakharchenko, the leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people's republic, has suffered a slight wound to his foot in Debaltseve, a Donetsk people's republic military source told Interfax.

“It’s true that the republic’s head has sustained a slight shrapnel wound to his foot,” he said.

“He is feeling well, the fragment has been extracted, and he’s going to be back to work soon. There is nothing serious there,” he said.
