DONETSK - Ukrainian government forces shelled the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) more than 20 times last night, resulting in at least two civilian deaths, the DPR defense ministry says.

“Twenty-one fire attacks were recorded last night, and two civilians
were killed. The number of civilians killed over the past 24 hours has
reached 13. The fatalities are mostly in Yasynuvate and Donetsk,” DPR
deputy defense minister and head of the ministry’s political directorate

One of the shells fired by Ukrainian government forces hit an oil storage base in Yasynuvate, Basurin said.

Thirty-seven buildings have also been destroyed in Donetsk over the past 24 hours, he said.

“The Ukrainian government forces lost 35 people as killed and
injured, and four vehicles, including two armored personnel carriers and
two armored fighting vehicles, were destroyed last night,” Basurin
said.
