You're reading: Shelling of Talakivka village resumes near Mariupol

 An artillery attack on the village of Talakivka in the Mariupol district of the Donetsk Oblast restarted on Sept. 22 evening, the press service of the Mariupol City Council said citing village head Mykola Krasykov.

 “No information has arrived about the casualties. Four more residential buildings have been damaged. Mariupol Mayor Yuriy Khotlubei said all necessary assistance must be given to the residents,” it said.

Talakivka is located about ten kilometers northeast of Mariupol.

The sound of shelling with heavy weapons could be heard in Donetsk as of 6.30 p.m, the City Council said on its official Web site.

The roof of a private house was damaged by a shell in the city’s Petrovsky district on Monday morning.

Power supply has been restored to 260 private houses in the village of Shakhty No.11 in the Petrovsky district and to more than 50 private houses in the Zhovtnevy residential area in the Kuibyshevsky district. The Donetskmiskgaz gas distribution company has resumed gas supplies to 308 consumers, the City Council said.

The Voda Donbasu water supply company has completed the repairs of a damaged water duct and launched the Kuibyshevsky water pipeline. “The pipeline is being filled. Water will reach consumers in the Kuibyshevsky, Leninsky and part of the Kyivsky districts at 7 p.m.,” the City Council said.
