Ukrainians living in Crimea will be able to get a Schengen visa at the Polish Consulate General in Odesa, whereas Crimean residents with Russian passports will not be able to do so, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has said.

“These rules are currently being set. However, one question is
already absolutely clear: all residents of Crimea will be serviced by
the Consulate General in Odesa. The issue concerns citizens of Ukraine
and only citizens of Ukraine,” he said at a joint briefing with Acting
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Deschytsia.

He noted that due to the tense security situation in Crimea, the
Polish Consulate General in Sevastopol, which was the only consulate
general of an EU member state in Crimea, had been evacuated. He said
that now residents of Crimea with Ukrainian passports had to visit Odesa
to get a visa at the Polish Consulate General.

Sikorski also noted that the EU had suspended talks with Russia on visa liberalization.
