"People's mayor" of Sloviansk in Ukraine's Donetsk region Viacheslav Ponomariov said he confirmed the information regarding the detention of a bus with Ukrainian servicemen and civilians and, according to his information, the bus had banned ammunition on board.

“Indeed, we have detained the bus and banned ammunition was found on it, we currently are determining who these people are. We can not confirm for now that Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) monitors were indeed among them because we have not conclusively determined their affiliation, we will check,” Ponomariov told Interfax on the telephone.

The detained people are in Sloviansk in the Ukrainian Security Service department building, which is controlled by anti-Maidan activists, Ponomariov said.
