The SMM OSCE continues to observe the presence of heavy weapons in a safety zone in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, despite claims on withdrawal of these arms.

“Despite claims that the withdrawal of heavy weapons was completed, the SMM continued to observe the presence of heavy weapons. In areas controlled by Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) the SMM observed three howitzer D-30 (122mm) towed by trucks and another one stationary. In areas controlled by Donetsk People’s Republic the SMM observed one tank (T-64) and one anti-tank gun (100mm),” reads the SMM report as of 7.30 p.m. on April 28, issued on April 29 evening.

In the afternoon of April 28, the SMM heard unidentified explosions as well as saw small arms fire in the area of Shyrokyne, according to the report.
