Some 112 Ukrainian soldiers are held captive in Debaltseve, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak has said.
“Negotiations are being held for captives. I think that this could be in the near time… [exchange of captives]. We have sent the lists. Today 112 persons are held captive in Debaltseve,” he told reporters on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the opening of the exhibition entitled “Prysutnist (Presence). Proofs of Russian troop’s aggression on the territory of Ukraine.”
The minister said that today no Ukrainian soldiers are left in Debaltseve.
“A total of 2130 persons withdrew from Debaltseve,” he said.
