Over 900 Ukrainian citizens are still being kept hostage or have gone missing in the country's east, Kyiv representative in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group, lawmaker of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction Iryna Heraschenko said.

“We continue working. Another 139 Ukrainians are being kept hostage, 788 are considered unaccounted for. All of them should be found. The issue of their release and the search for them will be among the key ones at a ‘Normandy format’ meeting of the foreign ministers in Berlin on November 6,” she wrote on her Facebook page on Oct. 29.

Heraschenko recalled that an operation to free nine Ukrainian hostages was conducted a few hours ago.
