According to the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), 156 people remain captured by militias, says Iryna Heraschenko, the Ukrainian president's commissioner for the peace process in the Donetsk and Luhansk Regions.

A total of 2,882 Ukrainian soldiers and civilians have been released since the hostilities began in Donbas. According to the SBU’s lists, 156 people are still held captive, Heraschenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Aug. 27.

On Aug. 27, Donetsk militants released 12 Ukrainian soldiers, which was reported by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on his Facebook account.
