A column of 4,000 supporters of the opposition was being formed at 1130 on European Square in Kyiv, the protesters will then march to Sofiyska Square, according to the Interior Ministry of Ukraine.
In the area of the Slavy Park and the Museum of the Great Patriotic
War, 45,000 participants of the “To Europe Without Nazis” rally, which
is organized by the Party of Regions, have formed a column that is
heading to European Square, the police said.
Earlier, the Interior Ministry reported that an opposition rally
would be held on Sofiyska Square. As of 10.30, some 2,300 people had
gathered there.
No violations of public order have been registered so far. A total of
4,000 police officers will maintain public order during these rallies.
