The State Fiscal Service has confiscated around 5,000 tonnes of counterfeit fuel worth some Hr 65 million, the service's press service has reported.

‘Searches as a part of the criminal proceedings on the illegal turnover of excisable goods… were conducted simultaneously at four addresses – both in the places where fuel and lubricants were stored and at offices of one of the filling stations. During the search almost 5,000 tonnes of various types of petrol, diesel fuel, ingredients, additives and other fuel worth over Hr 65 million which origin gives rise to serious doubt were found and confiscated,’ reads the report.

The specialist took samples of each type of products and sent them to the examination.

Some media reports said that fuel was confiscated at the KLO filling station, although the company said that this information is untrue.

As reported, earlier the court arrested property of seven BRSM-Nafta filling stations in Kyiv region under a petition of Prosecutor General’s Office investigators.
