You're reading: State of emergency introduced only in those districts of Luhansk Oblast where fighting continues – Moskal

A state of emergency has been introduced not on the entire territory of Luhansk Oblast, but only in those districts where fighting is continuing, according to a posting on the official website of Head of Luhansk Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal.

“There is no need to introduce a state of emergency throughout the region as in some districts fighting is almost not conducted. Therefore district commissions on the liquidation of the aftermath of the emergency situation, which arose because of fighting, were set up in three districts of Luhansk Oblast, namely Novoaidarsky, Popasniansky, and Stanychno-Luhansky,” Moskal said.

According to him, special attention to ensure the restoration and operation of life support systems was paid in Schastia, Stanitsa Luhanska, Krymske, Novotoshkivka, Trekhizbenka, Troitske and Chernukhyne, “i.e. the settlements located in the firing line.”

According to the report, Moskal created a special commission to liquidate the aftermath of the emergency situation and headed it. The agency includes his deputies, the heads of departments of the regional administration, law enforcement officials and those from the State Emergencies Service.
