The State Treasury Service of Ukraine has resumed the settlement of payments and social payments in Donetsk region, reads a report of the service issued on May 16.

“The department of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in Donetsk
region, with the help of law-enforcement agencies has taken all of the
required measures to secure bank payments on the territory of the
region,” the treasury service said.

As reported, State Treasury Head Tetiana Sliuz on Friday morning said
that the State Treasury Service of Ukraine since  May 16 had
been deprived of the possibility of settling payments in Donetsk region
due to a decision of the NBU to disconnect the electronic payment
system, which was made after a threat by separatists to attack the
territorial department of the NBU in Donetsk.

However, the NBU almost at once resumed the operation of the system.
