Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and the Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Lofven have discussed Lofven's visit to Ukraine.

The visit is scheduled for March, the president’s press service has reported.

During a telephone conversation, the Prime Minister of Sweden expressed his condolences to the President and the entire Ukrainian nation over the attack on Kramatorsk, which led to numerous casualties, children among them.

The parties discussed the situation in the Donbas and agreed that Ukraine was currently among the priorities of the global security agenda. Particularly, Stefan Lofven stressed that the Ukrainian issue would be broadly discussed in the course of debates on foreign policy in the Swedish Parliament.

Petro Poroshenko and Stefan Lofven coordinated their positions on the future steps towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine on the eve of the European Council’s session in Brussels, scheduled for Feb. 12.
