You're reading: Talks begin between Yanukovych, opposition leaders

Talks have begun between Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and a working group for settling the political crisis on the one hand, and the leaders of the parliamentary opposition factions, the presidential press service has reported. 

The talks involve first deputy presidential chief of staff Andriy Portnov, Justice Minister Olena Lukash, leader of the UDAR parliamentary faction Vitali Klitschko, leader of the Batkivschyna party faction Arseniy Yatseniuk and leader of the Svoboda faction Oleh Tiahnybok.

The talks were being held at the presidential administration headquarters.
