US Ambassador to Ukraine John Tefft is not commenting on the article in The Washington Post, saying Ukraine could have supplied Libya with weapons.
Tefft told reporters in Kyiv on Thursday that he did not have any comment because all he knew on the issue was the article he read in The Washington Post like everybody else and he had nothing to add.
The Washington Post reported on April 10 citing a report given to the UN Security Council on April 9 that Ukraine as well as United Arab Emirates, Armenia and Albania had illegally supplied weapons to Libya to Muammar Gaddafi’s regime.
At the same time, Ukrspecexport state company said on April 10 that it denied accusations that Ukraine supplied weapons to Libya regardless of the UN sanctions.
