The spokesperson for Ukraine's Security Service, Olena Hitlianska, said on April 1 there is every reason to launch criminal proceedings against Ukrainian Communist Party leader Petro Symonenko.
“I think there will be an investigation, and today there is every reason to open a criminal case and to investigate facts that may provide evidence of complicity of the [Communist Party’s] top leadership in illegal activities,” Hitlianska said at a briefing in Kyiv when asked whether there are any reasons to prosecute Symonenko.
