You're reading: Third Lenin statue pulled down in Kryvy Rih

A third statue of Lenin since the beginning of October has been pulled down in Kryvy Rih, a town in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, local media reported.

 “Unidentified individuals pulled down a monument to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin near the Zhovtnevy district executive committee headquarters on Oct. 13,” the city Web site, 0564.ua, reported.

The first Lenin statue was torn down in the center of the town on Oct. 2. A bust of Lenin was broken in the courtyard of a residential building on Oct. 9.
