Dnipropetrovsk, May 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A total of 208 people declared incomes worth over UAH 1 million for 2010 in Dnipropetrovsk region, which is 30 people more than in 2009.

"208 people incomes worth over UAH 1 million in Dnipropetrovsk region. A year ago 178 declarations with incomes over UAH 1 million were submitted. As a rule, the largest sums were declared by citizens who sold corporate rights on their business," Deputy Head of State Tax Administration of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region, Denys Makarov, said at a press conference on Friday.

He said that 44,500 residents declared incomes worth UAH 2 billion in the regions for 2010, which is 15% up on 2009 (UAH 1.2 billion).

A total of UAH 12.5 million will be sent to local budgets of the regions from tax on income of individuals.

Makarov said that 13,500 tax credit declarations were submitted in the region. UAH 5.5 million would be returned from the budget to the said citizens.
