You're reading: Tiahnybok denies involvement in attack on Rabynovych

Oleh Tiahnybok, leader of the Svoboda All-Ukrainian Association, has flatly denied the statement made by businessman Vadym Rabynovych on the possible involvement of members of the party in the recent explosion near his office earlier this week.

“How can I comment on this nonsense? It’s absurd,” Tiahnybok told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.

Commenting on the information that Rabynovych has received threats from nationalists, Tiahnybok said: “Let them provide information on threats. There are law enforcement agencies. These people are ill.”

Vadym Rabynovych, a prominent Ukrainian businessman and co-chairman of the European Jewish Parliament (EJP) and president of the All-Ukrainian Jewish Congress, said the attempt to blow him up was likely linked to his refusal to give the television channel Jewish News One (JN1) to representatives of the current administration.

Rabynovych told a press conference in Kyiv that the attack against him could have been organized by nationalists.
