ALMATY – Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Kairat Mami has met with Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn in Almaty. "Bilateral trade more than doubled compared with 2010 and reached $4.4 billion," the press service of the Senate quoted Mami as saying.

Noting the potential for inter-parliamentary dialogue, the Senate speaker invited his Ukrainian counterpart to make an official visit to Kazakhstan. Lytvyn, in turn, also suggested that Mami visit Ukraine.
