Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and EU Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger have reached during a telephone conversation a preliminary agreement to hold trilateral talks to resolve the crisis situation with Ukraine paying its debt for Russian gas, the Russian Energy Ministry said.
The meeting is planned to be held in Warsaw on May 2.
The Ukrainian delegation is to confirm its participation in the negotiations soon.
