Speaker and Acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov has said that the election in Ukraine was held openly and transparently.

“The election was held openly ad transparently, voting was carried
out freely, without artificial restrictions and administrative
pressure,” the press service of the Verkhovna Rada reported late on May 25, citing Turchynov.

Turchynov said that “we destroyed plans of our enemies” by holding the elections.

“Elections, which I hope will be recognized by all civilized
countries, have destroyed plans of our enemies. This is our common
victory,” he said.

Turchynov thanked all Ukrainian citizens for “the awareness of the importance of the expression of popular will.”

He especially thanked members of constituencies and polling stations
in Donetsk and Luhansk regions for the good citizenship service.
