Rescue workers continue searches of two miners missing at the Komsomolets Donbasu mine, where on January 3, 2012 methane exploded. 14 meters left to pass out of 56 meters, the public relations department of DTEK reported on Saturday.

“As of 1, 400 rescue workers continue searches of two miners – Hennadiy Shevchenko, born 1970, an engine driver, and Roman Protsik, 1980, an assistant section foreman,” reads the report.

Rescue workers are doing their best to reach miners before the required degassing of the section is conducted on January 8, 2012. According to the rescue team, the conditions for safety rescue work at the section are ensured.

Families of the miners are informed on the course of rescue works.

“The commission for accident investigation has not presented conclusions on the reasons of the accident before the circumstances are revealed,” DTEK said.
