According to preliminary data, the reason of deaths of two people in the Kharkiv shootout at night was buckshot wounding, Kharkiv Prosecutor Yevhen Popovych has said.

“After the examination of the bodies of the two persons killed, the
preliminary reason of death is buckshot wounding. The inured police
officer has the similar wounding,” Popovych told an Interfax-Ukraine
correspondent on Saturday.

He said that negotiations with people-members of the Right Sector
East movement, who barricaded themselves in the office, continued for
over five hours. Kharkiv Mayor Hennadiy Kernes took active part in the
negotiations.

“We managed to persuade them to hand in guns and surrender,” Popovych said.

He said that people detained at night are being interrogated.

According to the information of the public relations department of
the chief department of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in Kharkiv
region, after the shootout at night two men of 20 years old and 31 years
old were killed. A 29-year old senior lieutenant was severely wounded.
Another four persons were hospitalized to the Kharkiv city emergency
hospital.
