More than 300 activists are demonstrating outside the Verkhovna Rada building in the center of Ukraine's capital Kyiv on June 30.

An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that people taking part in a rally on Constitution Square in front of the parliamentary building are demanding that Ukrainian MPs support bill No. 2045-a, which guarantees private deposits and upgrades the procedure for removing insolvent banks from the market.

They also demand the adoption of bill No. 2188-1, which proposes the preservation of deposits of insolvent banks’ customers by transferring these deposits to functioning banks.

At the same time, representatives of agricultural and industrial enterprises from Ukraine’s regions are staging their own rally near the Verkhovna Rada building.

The Ukrainian parliament is holding plenary sessions this week.
