A vehicle driven by border guards who were patrolling the Ukrainian-Russian border on April 20 hit a landmine and exploded, injuring both military servicemen, a spokesperson for Ukraine's State Border Guard Service said.

“The bomb was planted by a hostile sabotage group at one of the roads near the town of Krasna Talivka,” the spokesperson said.

The servicemen have been hospitalized requiring urgent medical treatment.
