You're reading: Tymchuk: Situation in Donbas conflict zone remains difficult

The situation in the Donbas conflict zone remains difficult, as Ukrainian troops are reinforcing the defense, restoring the combat capability of units, and preparing to repel attacks and neutralize the enemy's subversive and reconnaissance groups, Information Resistance group leader Dmytro Tymchuk has reported on his page on Facebook.

“Russian-terrorist forces continue to grossly violate the terms of a ceasefire by firing on the positions of Ukrainian troops. In particular, the positions of Ukrainian troops at the airport in Donetsk were shelled three times overnight. The shelling was conducted with mortars,” reads the report.

He added that the positions of security forces near Verkhnia Krynka had been shelled with BM-21 Grad rockets from the direction of Khartsyzsk.

“A checkpoint near Maloorlivka was shelled with mortars. A stronghold near Krasnohorivka was shelled with cannon artillery,” Tymchuk said.
