A Health Ministry commission analyzing the state of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's health has concluded that the ex-premier does not require any further medical treatment and follow-up care at the hospital.

“The Health Ministry’s commission has come to a conclusion that patient Tymoshenko does not require further medical treatment and follow-up care at the clinic,” the ministry said in a press release on Friday.

According to the Health Ministry press service, the recommendations regarding Yulia Tymoshenko’s treatment and rehabilitation provided by doctors from the Berlin clinic Charite have been fulfilled.

“Patient Tymoshenko received a lot of physiotherapy procedures during her stay in the hospital, which lasted more than nine months,” the press service said.

Members of the medical commission said many of the physiotherapy procedures received by Tymoshenko are not in line with any practice or standard and they can have an adverse effect.

“In addition, in accordance with the international recommendations and national protocols governing the provision of medical assistance, all possible time limits for rehabilitation procedures are long over,” the press service reported.
