UEFA says it has received no reports of racial abuse during the four group matches played so far at Ukrainian venues of the European Championship.

Markiyan Lubkivskyi, UEFA’s tournament director in Kyiv, says "there are no incidents to report … Nobody made any comments to us regarding racism — no players, no teams, no fans."

Before Euro 2012 kicked off, a British television program broadcast footage of racist and violent incidents at recent club matches in Ukraine, including tournament host city Kharkiv.

Earlier Tuesday, UEFA stepped up investigations into alleged racial abuse directed at Italy forward Mario Balotelli and Czech Republic defender Theodor Gebre Selassie during Euro 2012 matches played in Poland.
