UEFA President Michel Platini and the UEFA Executive Committee have thanked Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov for the excellent organization of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship in Ukraine.
The UEFA leadership sent a relevant letter of gratitude to Ukraine's deputy prime minister, according to the Web site of the Ukraine-2012 Information Center.
"The Euro 2012 was a spectacular success at all levels. As Vice Prime Minister, you have played a crucial role in ensuring that the matches that took place in Ukraine should be held at a high standard. I am very grateful to you for your valuable support in the preparation," reads a letter from the UEFA president.
Platini also asked Kolesnikov to convey thanks to the National Agency for Euro 2012 Preparation, which played an important role in ensuring the success of the tournament, as well as preparation of the infrastructure and implementation of an array of measures for holding the championship.
