You're reading: Ukraine bans poultry imports from China

Ukraine has banned poultry imports from seven administrative territories of China because of outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) on their territory.

Information about the ban was sent out in a telegram by State Veterinary Inspector Volodymyr Horzheyev, the press service of the State Veterinary and Biosecurity Service of Ukraine reported on Friday.

In particular, the ban is in effect for the provinces of Gansu, Liaoning, Yunnan, the Tibet Autonomous Region, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and the Island of Taiwan.
