DONETSK - The results of the trilateral Contact Group's negotiations, which resumed in Minsk on December 24, may be announced only after the group's next meeting, Denis Pushylin, chief negotiator of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) at Minsk meetings, told reporters on Dec. 25.

“This meeting was preparatory. It will be possible to speak about any results only after the next meeting,” Pushylin said.

The trilateral Contact Group negotiating possible solutions to the conflict in south-eastern Ukraine met in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, on Dec. 24. A date for the next meeting has not yet been announced.

However, Pushylin said on Wednesday evening that the self-proclaimed republic’s leadership did not rule out the possibility of holding the group’s next meeting on Dec. 26.

“The issue of holding this meeting on Dec. 26 is currently being discussed,” he told Interfax.
